We’re looking for a Vice President, Business Development & Brokerage Services to join our team. This role requires a proactive, client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll use your industry expertise to deliver unbiased guidance, align with client objectives, and drive successful outcomes. In this leadership role, you’ll help build the firm, act as a trusted tenant advisor, drive business growth, and shape our culture and operations.
This is a contract role with a commission-based income structure and uncapped upside potential.
Your Impact
In this role, you will:
Lead tenant advisory transactions with guidance from senior leadership, managing day-to-day client interactions and transaction operations.
Build and maintain client relationships, becoming a primary point of contact for key accounts.
Develop and execute targeted client acquisition strategies, contributing to pipeline growth.
Collaborate with other advisors in key markets across the U.S. to build strategic partnerships.
Lead business development activities including cold outreach, warm leads, and networking events.
Create and deliver high-quality proposals, marketing materials, and presentations with minimal oversight.
Conduct comprehensive market research and financial analyses to support client decisions.
Prepare and analyze financial models, lease comparisons, and investment scenarios.
Coordinate and lead property tours, representing Resource’s brand professionally.
Mentor junior team members while still receiving guidance from senior leadership.
Lead small project teams and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Contribute to firm culture and operations through active participation in team initiatives.
Attend weekly operating meetings and other business meetings as required.
Meet internal weekly and monthly sales target metrics and hold regular meetings with prospects.
Uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all business interactions.
Work collaboratively with team members to promote a cohesive and productive workplace environment.
Work from our San Francisco office 3–4 days a week.
What We’re Looking For

3-6+ years of proven success in tenant advisory and real estate transactions.
Experience managing diverse property portfolios (office, retail, life sciences, industrial, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to independently manage client relationships and transactions.
Experience with portfolio account work, ideally across multiple geographies.
Strong financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
Growing experience in team leadership and business development.
Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate client needs and market trends.
Passion for the real estate industry and its evolving role in shaping workspaces.
Client-centric approach with proven track record of building lasting relationships.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple complex priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative team player with leadership potential and a “we not me” attitude.
Kind, thoughtful, and an active listener who fosters an inclusive environment.
Additional Qualifications
Real estate license required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Valid driver’s license and fully insured automobile required.
Experience independently developing and maintaining client relationships.
Experience conducting research through MLS, CoStar, and industry-specific platforms.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Proven ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
